Fame.

Sometimes, I don't really get why people want to be famous. Sure, everything is great at first! But, me? I prefer to learn from other people's mistakes. Take Demi Lovato, for instance. Yeah, she started off being an awesome role model, but she is now in rehab. Do I even need to mention Miley Cyrus? This picture should explain who fame made her become. Every rising star claims they will remain strong in their faith, or will hold true to who they really are, but do they?
I'm not trashing famous people.  After all, most of them are people just like us. They just happened to stumble across fame. So, they're the lucky ones...right?

"I have a love/hate relationship with performing" -Sarah Brightman

Well, tonight is the talent show!
Turns out, even though I sang last year, I'm just as nervous, or more-so, than I was last year! I'm singing "Outside Looking In" by Jordan Pruitt. If you want to come and need to now the time and/or location you can text meee.
Anywayyy, I learned something new today! If you're nervous, you can draw a "figure 8" symbol on your palm, and it'll help you relax! (It works...sort of.)
Nah, I don't have anything deep to say today, but can you blame me? I'M FREAKING OUTTT.
iight,

"I may hate this town, but I guess it makes me who I am, and who I will one day be."

Camden. A city where
dreams rarely come true.
racism still exists.
popular girls wear big bows in kindergarten.
USC vs. Clemson debates can take up a whole class period.
Camden. A city where
people want to get out...but they never do.

I'm going to go ahead and make something very clear (very, very, very clear): I hate Camden; if anyone wants out of this town, it's me. It's not just me that wants out though, every single person wants out...but they never seem to leave. Well, this got me thinking....why don't they leave? Is it fear of the unknown, homesickness, or are people purely trying to keep up with the family tradition of staying here? However, I think it's deeper than all of that. Maybe it's because a person's hometown literally builds them. I've lived my entire life here. My memories are scattered through the streets of downtown, the sticky-floored movie theater, my best friends' houses, my church, my town.

Sure, I hate Camden now, but maybe, just maybe, in the future, I'll be thankful for it. For the memories it's holding, the friends it introduced me to, and the person it's made me become.

"Watch my face as I pretend to feel no pain."

Why does everyone want to be popular? I mean, I get it: they want to belong. But why don't they try to belong in a different group?
The following are reasons why I hate high school:
  1. It always seems like your best friends are older than you, therefore, they graduate before you...leaving you to suffer.
  2. Teachers- nuff said.
  3. Pop quizzes- do teachers not understand the only reason we pass is because we cram information in our head ithe night before? How dare them not give us cramming time!
  4. Popular people- the people who claim they aren't popular but hang out with all of the popular people...? Really?
  5. I'm into drama, not sports. For those who don't know, it's alot harder to get into drama stuff than sports.
  6. The Techs give everyone laptops and then get mad when we play bubbleshooter.
  7. 5 days is way too long.
Well, I'm done whining(:

...And It Matters Because...?

Hey, readers(:

Guess what...
The world DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU!
:O
I know...it's shocking!
It feels like it does though. Especially when you get a bad grade, when you trip in the hallway, or when you go through a breakup. Well, maybe this will put your problem in perspective:
