If people claim they know the "true reason for the season", why was Santa invented in the first place? I mean, was the fact that Jesus was born not a big enough reason to celebrate? Sure, it's nice getting gifts every year. But I honestly believe Christmas is becoming a holiday invented merely for an increase in sales.
This is one of those posts that seemed more clear in my head. But, anyway, even I am guilty of being excited merely for the gifts! But, this year, I'm going to truly attempt to turn my mind and soul away from the superficial meanings of Christmas.
